  • Delta Omega Annual Spring Induction Ceremony – March 16, 2025

    Congratulations to our newest members!

    On March 16, 2025, at 1:00pm in the Jean However Taber Student Union in the Gardner Theatre, the Annual Delta Omega Spring Induction Ceremony took place.  Our Keynote Speaker was Judy Kreye, Dean and Associate Professor, Byers School of Nursing, Trina Rambo RN Dean's Chair, Interim Dean, School of Behavioral and Health Sciences, Walsh University. 

    Delta Omega President, Barb Brunt presided over the event.

  • Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Delta Omega Chapter Annual Spring Induction

    The Delta Omega Chapter of Sigma will be holding their Spring Induction on March 16, 2025 at 1:00 in the The University of Akron, Jean Hower Taber Student Union Gardner Theatre, 303 Carroll St, Akron, OH 44325. (Second floor of the Student Union in Room 210). Dress is business professional/business casual.

    As a member of Delta Omega, we are sure you remember the excitement of your invitation and induction ceremony. We know you appreciated all those who came to celebrate your accomplishments and the honor of being a part of this organization acknowledging the work you put int to your academic achievement, your academic integrity, and your leadership potential.  We are sure it was an exciting day!

  • Call for Nominations for Annual Delta Omega Recognition Awards

    Please take time NOW to nominate a nurse who deserves to be recognized!  Award recipients will be announced at the chapter induction ceremony March 16th. The deadline for submissions is March 4th. See link below to submit an application. See Discussion post for details and Nomination Form.

  • Book scholarship applications are open!

    Current students who are active members of Delta Omega chapter of Sigma can request a book scholarship of $300 to be awarded in cash to assist with book purchases.

    Proof of book purchases are not required.

    Up to 3 are awarded each year to our members, and applications are to be submitted in the Spring semester.

    Email requests to Diane Brown, Delta Omega Treasurer, dbrown1@uakron.edu no later than March 1st.
